Match Preview
Bengaluru FC and Hyderabad FC, two former ISL champions, find themselves in deep trouble this season. Bengaluru FC is currently placed 10th in the table with 15 points in 16 matches. The visitors, Hyderabad FC, are the bottom-placed team with just 4 points in 15 league matches so far.
Bengaluru will be hoping to give themselves a boost as they take on a Hyderabad side who are out of sorts off the pitch. Financial turmoil has ravaged the Nawabs, who are currently playing with just one foreign player in the league. Although the Indian players have shown a lot of grit, Hyderabad has failed to win a single match in this ISL season. But coach Thangboi Singto will be hoping to take advantage of their opponents, who are also struggling this season.
However, there is a significant blow for the visitors as their solitary foreigner, Joao Victor, is out after receiving a Red card in the last match. Alex Saji was also sent off in the last match and won't play a part in this one. The encouraging fact for them has been the emergence of some young players, as Ramhlunchhunga and Abdul Rabeeh have showcased glimpses of brilliance throughout the season.
Bengaluru possible starting lineup: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu; Nikhil Poojari, Chinglensana Singh, Aleksandar Jovanovic, Naorem Roshan Singh; Harsh Patre, Javi Hernandez, Suresh Wangjam, Ryan Williams; Sunil Chhetri, Oliver Drost
Hyderbad possible starting lineup: Gurmeet Singh; Sajad Parray, Jeremy Zohminghlua, Mohammed Rafi, Mark Zothanpuia; Aron Vanlalrinchhana, Lalchhanhima Sailo; Abdul Rabeeh, Makan Chote, Ramhlunchhunga; Joseph Sunny
